Established in the 19th century, the Caesar’s Head community has a storied past. The original wellness hotel and its dependencies have since burned and no longer exist, but several of the quaint historic cabins in the neighborhood still stand. We were tasked with the challenge of creating a new construction residence that aligned with the surrounding historic vernacular while still meeting the clients square footage and more modern aesthetic goals. The view from this piece of property is outstanding - so we focused on capturing its beauty in every living and bedroom space. The project is riddled with the same sentiment in the interior -  rustic finishes combined with modern brutalist detailing work together to create a wonderful juxtaposition throughout. We focused on keeping much of the built environment natural in tone and texture and brought a rainbow of color in through textiles and art.
